Your language file is not up to date message persists after loading lang file

I have just updated to Hikashop Business 6.2.0.

I got the message " Your language file is not up to date. Load the latest version from our server
I know, don't remind me"

I loaded the language file and saved it successfully, however I still get the same message when I go to Hikashop Configuration.

I have cleared the Joomla cache but no difference.

I have not added a language - current language is en-GB. This is the only language installed.

Please advise action.

For some reason, the language file was still 6.1.1.

Permissions looked OK (755 / 644).

I downloaded the latest language file and uploaded it manually and this cleared the message.

FYI, I've had this same issue on several sites across several servers.

All of them are still stuck on HIKA_LANG_VERSION="6.1.1"

File permissions and ownership all look good, never had a problem updating before.

None of the sites has been migrated or copied.

The dates on the language/en-GB/en-GB.com_hikashop.ini files show an update date of 6.2.0; however, this seems odd, as that means the file changed with the update, but it isn't the correct version number in it.

Clicking the update button in Hikashop doesn't change the file date, so it doesn't seem to update the file.

I have a copy of I used two of the files to do a couple of the updates: com_hikashop_business_v6.2.0_2026-01-19_20-04-37.zip and com_hikashop_essential_v6.2.0_2026-01-19_20-11-01.zip.

And I opened those zip files and looked at the language/en-GB.com_hikashop.ini file in them. Both have 6.1.1 in it.

So I downloaded a new copy from Hikashop (com_hikashop_business_v6.2.0_2026-01-28_15-59-07.zip) and it has 6.1.1 in the lanague file as well.
