We have a Hikashop site used as a customer intranet for a franchise group (uniform purchases etc). Because of the complexity of rules for employees of different franchises we have had to create a Joomla registration that automatically allocates users to the correct user group. We successfully did this using Fabrik, allocating the usergroup based on the users email address). The customer wants to ensure orders are only shipped to approved addresses allocated to each employee which will be added to the Joomla profile at time of registration by way of selecting the address from a dropdown. What I am looking for is a way to import that Joomla Profile address into Hikashop for thatuser (we will turn off the ability for users to add or edit addresses).

Hi,

There is no system already ready-made to import joomla custom fields (or fabrik fields) in HikaShop address fields.
That would require the development of a plugin of the "user" group to run the import process just after the login of the user:
docs.joomla.org/Plugin/Events/User#onUserAfterLogin
The import process could add the addresses or update them if already there.
A PHP developer will be able to work on that for you.
If you want us to give you a quote on that, you can request it via our contact form:
www.hikashop.com/support/contact-us.html
Make sure that you provide a link in your message and additional information regarding the structure of the database where the data is stored ( a backend access might be useful to review the settings of your registration form ) so that we can provide an accurate quote.

Thanks Nicolas. I was thinking along those same lines so will give it a shot. This is becoming a behemoth of a Hikashop site with sales integrations to SAP for one group of users, Oracle Netsuite for another group of users as well as for stock control and now the custom login/user group process at the front end. Try doing that with Woocommerce!

Thanks again for this awesome component.
