Can Hikashop connect to outside product databases?

We have a client who sells lawn and garden equipment and parts... they want to be able to connect their website's ecommerce component (hopefully Hikashop) to their vendors database. Is this idea possible???

Hi,

Well, first, this means that some development will probably be necessary and second, it also depends on what capabilities this vendor database has.
On the HikaShop side of things, we have a developer API and it's easy to create plugins to add such connectivity.
But we would need more information on the situation to be able to say clearly if that's possible and how.
