Hikashop Google Products Plugin XML with problems

Hello,

in my Greek eshop the XML produced by the Hikashop Google Products Plugin XML shows problems.
As a result Facebook catalogue cannot be filled using the XML feed.
I have used again in the past the XML feed for Hikashop+FB (in English) and it worked fine.

Is it possible that non-latin characters are the cause of the problem?

I checked the product descriptions that show in the error (using code mirror editor) but I found no weird characters.

I attach you the following files:

After some research I found that a wrong character is inserted when a long product description is truncated (see screenshot).
I retyped manually a product description and the character is inserted again!

Ok, it seems I found the bug in the code.

In the code you are using the substr php function which counts bytes and may cut characters in half....
I replaced it with mb_substr and everything works ok now
