Hi,

I have a custom image field for a customerdesign in the order list. After editing the order, the image disappears. Looks like a small bug.

Hi,

Which precise action do you do to get that result ?
If you change the status of the order you get the issue ?
Or is it only when you change the additionals area ?
Could you also provide a screenshot of the settings of the custom field ?

Hi Nicolas,

It only happens after editing the tab "Additional information". here's the screenshot of the custom field settings.

Hi,

Thank you for the additional information. We'll look into it. In the mean time, I would recommend to try changing the type of the custom field to "AJAX image" instead of "image". That should prevent the issue.

The image is also shown on the frontend orderpage under additional information. But it only shows a very small thumbnail (100px), while the original image is 500 px. Can't figure out why that is. If I use the image uploadfield instead of the AJAX uploadfield, the original size is kept as is (500 px).

How do I preserve the imagewidt of 500 px using the AJAX field?

Hi,

It's done on purpose to avoid the imaged uploaded by your customers from breaking the layout of the emails, and pages on your website where the images would display.
Note however, that with the latest version of HikaShop, these thumbnails are clickable and you'll get the full size image when you click on them:
www.hikashop.com/forum/4-how-to/900906-u...om-order.html#324534
So rather than changing the display of the thumbnails to have them bigger, which will probably create problems from you down the road (as I explained above), I would rather recommend updating to the latest version of HikaShop so that you have the link on them to get the full size image.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks, I updated to version 4.4.0, but that gave bigger problems. F.e. this page: jouwnaambord.nl/plexiglas-30-x-15-cm

After the update when pressing the add to basket button, the system askes for a file for field "foto 2", although the field for adding more photo's is set to "No". This doesn't happen in Hikashop 4.3.0., so I downgraded to that version again.

Hi,

That's strange. The only thing we changed with the 4.4.0 regarding the AJAX image validation is the support of multiple files.
So now, you can have only one field with the "multiple" setting activated and you'll be able to upload several images in one custom field instead of only one per field.
But I reviewed the code and I don't see how that could be a problem with the required check.
One thing you could try is updating and disabling the extra fields, to only keep one and activate the multiple setting to that field. That way, it should circumvent the problem.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks, that indeed is the solution for the last problem in 4.4.0.

Only one thing, when clicking the thumbnail on the frontend orderpage you don't get a popup with the original image, but the imagefile is downloaded to the computer. Of course it would be possible to open the file after that, but I think a lot of people do not understand this option.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback on that.
We'll try to improve that for the next version of HikaShop.
