Square payment plugin - SCA for European cards does not work

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.4.0 Business
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.24
-- PHP version -- : 7.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 84.0.2
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Transaction Failed

Hi, when you use a card that requires SCA such as the Visa test card here developer.squareup.com/docs/testing/test-values , the payment fails and an error message comes up saying Transaction Failed.
I initially thought this might just have been in the sandbox mode but yesterday a customer had this issue on the live site too.
I switched on the debug mode in the dev site and ran a sandbox test and received this error code from the api: CARD_DECLINED_VERIFICATION_REQUIRED
Is there a problem with the plugin or my configuration?

Any update on this? I have had 2 customers today who have had problems paying.
I've paid €50 for this plugin, I don't think it's right that it shouldn't be fully functional.

Of course, we only had out of EU customers until now so we never had that issue. We're still testing every use cases on our end and we'll release a new version as fast as we can.
