Hi there,

Just take a look at your joomla's module and you'll see that there is a filter module already prepared for hikashop (it's named 'Search').
Just configure this module by specifying a filter (that you can create in Display>Filters) and a menu (you have to write a menu id there) and publish it.

That's the place. You may not have the last version of Hikashop.
Another option is to configure directly a filter. Take a look at the documentation ;)

ive installed the latest version, the only search i see was in the plug in manager are you sure its supposed to be in modules? The only one in modules is Hika Shop Filter module. I have enabled the search in plugins it does work but it just shows a list, i was hoping to display the images as well as on the demo page

thanks for the reply

My bad, it's the right module you're seeing.
About the display it depends of the menu you linked to the module.
This module have to be configured to display the layout you want.

What the menu id you specified? Try to find this module and configure it to display product the way you want.
If you need more help, please give a screenshot of your filter configuration :)

That's it. The field is empty in your case. You have to look at your menu listing (in Hikashop) and select (or create) a menu with all of your products inside and with the layout you want.
Then, Just look at the id of this menu (on the right in the menu listing) and specify this id in the filter configuration.

I don't see why it wouldn't display.

In order for it to display you need to :
have filters
make it display on all menus
have it enabled
have it access allow you to see it (public)
have it in a valid position of your template
make sure that caching is disabled on your website

That's all I can think of.

We're have problems with this too. We just want something that functions the same way as the demo. Actually, will be very happy with the software if we can get the same result as the demo.

You should know that you can access the backend of the demo website with the login/password demo
That will allow you to see how we configured the filters and the filter module.

If you have more issues even though you did the same as the demo website, please post some screenshots of the options of the filters/filter module and we'll be able to tell you what's wrong.

Hi,

To remove that you have to disable the option "Display filters" in the menu / module settings.

Indeed, the option in your menu / module should be set on "inherit" so changing the value in Configuration > Display > Products > "Display filters on product listing" allow you to change the value at one click.
