Embed youtube video on product page

Apologies - I replied to a thread with a problem in the archived section.

Basically trying to get a youtube video embedded into the product page, but stuck!

EDIT: It works fine when in a single article opened by a menu item.

I think that you have to use the following code:

echo JHTML::_('content.prepare',$your_custom_code);

And where would I put that?

Do you have code already to display the youtube video ? Or you are using a component for that ?

On the product page, you can use a Joomla plugin which manage the videos and add the tag in the product description on the product edition page.

I have installed the AllVideos plugin.

I have enabled the plugin.

I have a product description that contains lots of words.

I then added {youtube}vidref{/youtube}.

When viewed from front end, all the product description text disappears and there is no video. If I remove the tag, the text comes back as usual.

I have tested the plugin works in a normal article.

Problem over.

I changed the order of the AllVideos plugin to last and now works within a Hikashop product page.

Now I have intalled AllVideos and it´s enable, I have published my product, I have my video in youtube, but I don´t know how embed in my product this video.

I have found my answer

For the future people who will have the problem:
Insert within description text:
{youtube}qdtsvT1bnfw|600|450|1{/youtube}

Where qdtsvT1bnfw is part of url of youtube
and 600 y 450 is the size
1 is autoplay ON (0 autoplay OFF)

As I found in my experiences...

- Install AllVideos as you have done.
- Enable and configure, ensuring the plugin is the last to load
- Add the tag in the product description - {youtube}vidref{/youtube} - where 'vidref' is the youtube reference, for example, in the URL www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGXHVlEklgQ , the 'vidref' is lGXHVlEklgQ. Check your editor does not strip the tags.

When we read the post we really don't understand all the terms and the context of the issue / problem /bug .
Here it is a joomla question rather than a Hikashop question .
Allvideos is a joomla plugin that let us add video in content area implemented by Joomla article or Hikashop product . All joomla plug parse the content to search a tag with parameters and convert it to widget define by plugin . For this plug in the tag look like {youtube}qdtsvT1bnfw|600|450|1{/youtube}. {youtube} is the tag and the parameters are short url qdtsvT1bnfw with video parameters |600|450|1.

I know you post is more about php code than gui click . Even i ll search to know more about this code work in joomla eco system.
Can you give some information about your echo JHTML::_('content.prepare',$your_custom_code);
