Hi,
I need to hide all content (products and categories) in my HikaShop webshop.
I donät find anywhere to do this besides going in to each product and choose Access level and then Special.
Th eshhop is still under production and I really don't want anyone to see what's in it.
The way I thought was good wasn't enough. I have hidden all menu items and set access level to Registered which work as long as you just visit the site as no menu is visible to Public users.
The problem comes when you Google oe of the products and find my site, the you can just click the google link and you're in...

Please let me know how to hide everything unless you are a registered user.
I need to see it myself of course as well as my client in order to approve everything before it's time to open for public visitors.

Thanks,
Micke

I usually set the page to offline in production so i can log in and continue working without no one taking a look at it.
But perhaps its not what you are looking at.

Thanks for replying but I knnow that and that makes the site invisible for my customer who I am doing the webshop for.
I know that it's also possible to set all products one by one as available only for reistered users but doing it one by one and having hundreds of products is a very tie demanding thing. And then when the shop is ready to launch I have to reset all products to public.
I really don't find any easier way so it is certainly a suggestion to fix for future releases.
This is if I haveät missed something (which I wouldn't be surprised if I did)...
So if there's any nice fast solution please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi there,

An easy solution is either to use ACL on the product listing so you are the only able to see it or tu use ACL/avaibility on your products. The good point if you use this last method is that you can easily change the ACL/available parametre of all your products within a click thanks to our massaction system (System>Mass Actions). It indeed allows you to change a parameter for selected product in a click.

I hope this will help.

Eliot:
How do you do that so you don't have to set ACL product by product?
I tried to use it but it ended up changing product names on several products to an * (asterix...).
I meant to change the availability on all products (by using wild card for the names) and set all availability to Registered... but I did wrong and how to do it is out of my knowledge.
I would appreciate assistance with this so if anyone has any tutorial how to set up a massaction for it I would be grateful.

Hi,

Go in the menu System>Mass actions and create a new one with the action set up like in the screenshot but replace the XX in it by the id of the user group for which you want to allow your products.

Then click on the "process" button at the top and you'll have your products access level updated all at once.
