Force 'Add to Cart' button to go via detail page..

Hello.

Some of our products have no options or variants as they are very simple, for example a Belt or a Towel. No colour or size choices.
On the category page, the products have an image and a button 'Add to Cart'. If you click on the image, you go to the product detail page with a description, an option to choose the number you want, and the add to cart button.

Other products have options (such as size, colour etc). So for these products, there is no 'Add to Cart' on the category page. There is a 'Choose Options' button. If you click the 'Choose Options' button (which we changed to View Product FYI) you go to the product's detail page to specify what options you want.

This is as expected and works this way.

However, the client wants consistency - so what they want to happen is:

For the products with NO options or variants, even if you click on 'Add to Cart' it still takes you to the product detail page, so they can select the number of that product they want (three towels, etc).

They don't want 'Add to Cart' on the category pages to go directly to the cart, in other words.

I hope this makes sense, is there a simple way to do this?

The solutions will be to :
- Directly edit the code of the files of your "product" view through "Hikashop->Display->Views" to do that
OR
- Set the "Display add to cart button" option of your product listing content menu/module to NO and set the "Link to the product page" option to YES, so that your customer will be redirected to the product page when the will click on the product name/image
