Guys,

I'm having trouble getting a content module to display multiple category levels. Set up is as follows:

The module displays as follows:

Pen refills has 5 sub categories but these aren't displaying.

Template is JSN Mico but I have the same issue on JSN Glass.

Not sure if this is a module problem or a template issue. Any advice appreciated.

Kind Regards
Rob

Hi,

You're not looking at the correct options. Your options screenshot is for the category listing menu item, while the category listing on the left of your frontend is a category listing module.
So go in the menu Display->Content modules, edit your module (id 140) and here you can configure if you want sub categories to display and how in your left module.

Hi,

It does change how the module is displayed but sub categories still aren't displaying.

Ok, and can you show me some screenshots of your "category three" through "Hikashop->Products->Categories->'Explorer'" ?

Hi,

That pointed me in the direction I should have looked in the first place. For some reason ( probably human error ) the sub categories were not published. I have published them and now they have appeared in the main content screen but they still don't appear in the left side menu.

I then had a look at "Menu item for category listing module 140" and changed it to show sub categories -> all subcategories which broke the display completely . I then reversed the change and unfortunately display is still broken.

I really don't know what I have broken here but your help would be appreciated in getting the site displaying correctly again.

Regards
Rob

Guys,

If I change this to a different template e.g. JSN Glass things seem to display OK .

I'm really confused as to why changing a setting on a module would cause my JSN Mico template to go haywire.

Any thoughts ?

Regards
Rob

Guys,

Problems solved ... all user error on my behalf.

Not sure why but as soon as I activated the categories a custom css file came into play and my site layout broke.

Activated sub categories & deleted the custom css and my problems are solved.

Thanks for your patience with me on this one.

Regards
Rob
