Hi There
Does anyone knows how to associate a joomla module (eg: a Banner) to a specific category?
my idea is just have a category banner for each category
eg: when i enter "Woman Cloths", display a banner (joomla module) for Woman Cloths
this would be preatty easy if each category had a specific menu, but they haven't (or i missed that)

thanks in advance
cheers

In addition what i made was:
1. Create a Category Module for listing the categories i want
2. This module is associated with a "hidden Hika menu";
at this point i cannot associate the my banner module to this menu, as the same banner will display in all category menus, so:
3. I created a Menu for each category (this way i can associate my banner to my menu for that specif category)

problem:
i cannot make a correspondence between the Categories Module menus and the Category Menu i created...

seems kind of messy, sorry about that
any ideas?

cheers

Hello,
The solution will probably be to create 1 module per banner, and then to use the Advanced module manager to control the display of these modules.

Hi there
sorry for insisting on this point, it's slightly away from hika core (that worths every penny, congrats)
if i create a module for category listing, i can only associate that module to one menu; i can after make a banner and associate with the menu for the category module;

my question is, how to associate one module(banner) per category link that i dynamically have on my category listing module?

cheers

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply, as I said using the Advanced module manager will help you to control the display of these modules not regarding the content menu, but the URL.
