url not correct - duplicate content for product

Hi
I have a problem to configure the url of my website because I have 2 different urls that points to the same product (not good)
Example :
Home= Products listing >> click on product = domain.com/theme/12-productname

Home >> click on the categories menu >> list of products in the category >> click on product = domain.com/themes-categories/theme/12-productname

If I configure the categories menu to point with the associated menu which is the home page (product listing), the url is good but my categories are empty

Please tell me what is wrong

If in the associated module of the categories menu you select the home page menu, it's normal that you don't have products listed, the home page menu is a product listing one, in the associated module you have to select a category listing one.

So you can potentially edit you main menu in order to set it as a category listing menu, and associate the desired module on it.

what I don't understand is how it can be 2 ways to go on the same product, from the product listing the url should be the same as from any other way

Please detail me step by step how to have a product listing on the home page and a categories menu on the left of each page and the same url for both, with not empty category
