Hi

I want to display only on a page the list of producers without at the bottom the whole list of products.
I spent 2 hours trying to remove the list of products without success.
What do I need to do to remove the products display.

Regards
Daniel

Hi,

Your website is in maintenance so we couldn't look at the problem.
Could you provide a user account allowing us access to that page so that we can analyze it in order to answer you ?

Hi

Sorry, the other webmaster forgot that I made a support request and put the site offline (site is under development).

Now, it is accessible.

Hello,
You issue is probably coming from the fact that your content menu which have the ID number 119 have the content module (ID : 170) as an associated module.
The solution can be to directly delete that module from the "Associated Module" option and also delete it through the "Hikashop->Display->Content modules" page.

Thanks for your answer but the problem is not solved. If I delete the associated module, effectively, the module is no more displayed on the producer listing page but when you click on a producer name title link listed on the producer listing page to call the producer products page, no more products is displayed

How to solve this?

Is it a bug the fact that hikashop does not take into account the module publishing status?

Regards
Daniel

Hi,

I am sorry but I have some troubles to understand your problem.

When you associate HikaShop modules with an HikaShop menu, HikaShop will display the modules under the menu content.
That's how you can display a product listing module under a category listing menu.

After that, you can display Joomla modules in your website and say to Joomla to display it for specific Joomla menus.
At this moment it is Joomla which manage the display of the module.

Hi

What I want:
- a producer page with all producers listed with div type image_title (as displayed) but without any products listing at the bottom of the page (only the full list of producers)
- when I click on the title of one of the producer in the producers list, I want to display a new page with all products of the selected producer.

All works well except that, on the producers list, hikashop adds the unwanted full products list.
When I delete the module associated to the producers list as you suggested earlier, effectively the products list is suppressed on the producers list but when you click on the title of a producer, the called page displays nothing about the producer.

I sent to you by PM the site admin account

Hello Daniel,
Sorry for the late reply :

What I want:
- a producer page with all producers listed with div type image_title (as displayed) but without any products listing at the bottom of the page (only the full list of producers)
- when I click on the title of one of the producer in the producers list, I want to display a new page with all products of the selected producer.

If you don't want to display your products through your producers listing, the solution will just be to remove the associated module. BUT, note that when you select one of your producers, your producer's products will be displayed thanks to the associated module.
In your case the only solution will be to unset through your products configuration page the category where you don't want your product to be displayed.

Hi
Not very happy with the answer.
It seems therefore that a true hierarchical display for categories listing only and products for a selected category is not possible.
Something seems missing in Hikashop. This is a traditional hierarchical way to work
An extra option for products synchronization needs to be offered in the select box in order to alleviate product synchronisation on categories listing page.
Could this option be offered in a future release.

One more question. Is the hikashop associated module processed as a traditional joomla module and therefore can be processed by the Metamod joomla module in order to publish or not the module based on the calling url context of categories listing or products for a specifc category?

Regards
Daniel

Hello Daniel,

1. Sure we'll think about it.

2. Hikashop associated modules are Joomla module so you'll be able to display them as you want to, but note that Hikashop product listing associated modules, are associated to your category listing content menu and are working with it.
