Hello,

I'm trying to set up dynamic remarking on my 'retail' website. I want to target 'product viewers', but I'm getting the error ''Your tag doesn't include the custom parameter "ecomm_prodid".'' within google adwords. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,
Hal

Hi,

I looked at one of your product page and I don't see anywhere in the HTML of the page that you added the dynamic javascript code necessary to the Google Remarketing retail system:

The fix is to develop a joomla system plugin to add the necessary javascript to your pages by following the google guidelines for their remarketing API.
You'll need to contact a professional developer if you're not one yourself.

Hello Nicolas,

Thanks for your reply. I believe that there are two ways which you can use remarketing on google, one is the tag you mentioned and the other is to add it to google analytics snippet, which is what I have done:

(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');
ga('create', 'UA-xxxxxxxxx-x', 'website');
ga('require', 'displayfeatures');
ga('send', 'pageview');

I think that the problem that I'm having is related to the post I made about the google analytics tracking:

www.hikashop.com/forum/reports-statistic...nalytics-plugin.html

I don't think this would also work without knowing the Product SKU or ecomm_prodid?

What do you think?

Thanks,
Hal

''You can get your tag from your AdWords account by going to the "Audiences" section of your Shared library. If you use Google Analytics, you’ll have the option to use the tracking code that’s already on your site.''
