Product display for subcategories is wrong

Dear Hikashop Team,

first of all, great work on this component, never seen something similar in such a great quality at absolutely no costs in the free version.

Unfortunately I am running into a strange problem and I simply don't seem to be able to find a solution, but let's try to explain the issue:

First of all I set up my categories including several sub-categories which seems to work fine and looks like this screenshot:

My second step is adding products and assigning them to their corresponding categories (two in this case, one assigned o the gender area, the other one assigned to the brand)


The problem now is that the products aren't displayed in the corresponding subcategory even though they are assigned to the category. Try it yourself, click on schmuckiversum.de/index.php/marken and then on KOMONO. Even though the sunglasses and watches are assigned to their corresponding subcategory "Watches" and "Sunglasses", they are displayed in the main category called "KOMONO". When you click on the subcategories themselves, both are empty and no articles are displayed at all.

I have no idea if the settings for the category is wrong or the settings for the menu entry but it's simply not working even though the assignments are correct and working for other categories.

I hope someone has a solution for that,

Hi there,

You shouldn't add subcategories under Manufacturers/Brands ("Hersteller"). Instead, product (sub)categories belong under the main "Product category" ("Hauptkategorie") only.

So, please place "Sonnenbrillen", "Uhren", etc, under "Hauptkategorie", and the product listings should work as expected.
