product images in customer's notification email

Hi,
In my client's HikaShop when an order is made they (admin) get an email that includes the product images. The client gets an email that does not include the product images but should do.
I don't have the System->Email option (wrong version I gather) available to me.

So, should the customer's email include the product image by default? And if not how can I enable that by editing the code (I assume there is no other way)?
