Can Hikashop do the following

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6

Hi there, I've been searching for info/tutorials but so far no luck...can Hikashop do the following:

1) Tag Cloud module - for products by best-selling or most-viewed

2) Multiple Order module - so the customer can add multiple SKUs/QTYs to the cart at once

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

1) Natively no ; using a custom view, yes.

2) HikaShop support multiple item for his updatecart function ; so it is possible to add several items in the same time, yes.
Now I don't know how you want such kind of module.. So I can only say that you can use a custom module to do so.

Jerome,

For #2 we are looking for the capability to have a Quick Order box that has a few rows with a SKU field and Quantity field and an Add To Cart button at the bottom. This would allow customers to order any items on the site just by knowing the SKU. We have a lot of customers who order the same products time after time but the QTY will often change. This would make it much easier for them to make ad-hoc orders.

Can you elaborate on #1 a little bit?

Hi,

1. HikaShop is compatible with the tag system of Joomla. So I don't see why Jerome said that since you can use any tag cloud module for the Joomla tags and it will work with the tag field on the products.

2. That would require the development of such page as there is no form by default in HikaShop to enter SKUs and quantities and add them all at once to the cart.
The closest is to have a quantity field for each product of a products listing with a global add to cart button at the bottom of the listing.
If that's too far from what you need, them you would have to develop such form (or hire someone to develop it for you).
