-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3

The homepage has a Main Menu with a Hikashop Category called 'Catering' as one of the menu items.

Clicking on 'Catering', displays all the catering categories as setup in Hika.
Then I click on a sub-category item, eg Coffee and it list the products associated with this category.

Breadcrumb looks like this: Home > Catering > Coffee - which is what I want.

I also created a Category listing module on the sidebar showing all the subcategories of Catering.
If I select Coffee from this menu then breadcrumbs look like this: Home > Menu item for category listing module 276 > Coffee. The sidebar menu has now also disappeared.

What am I doing wrong?

I basically want the same link trail on the left, as is on the main menu. And I am probably assigning something incorrectly

Hi,

In the settings of the category listing module, please select the "Catering" menu for the "Menu" option.
This way it will use its itemid and show the correct breadcrumb and use the same modules as the ones assigned on the "Categing" menu.

Hello,

I am trying to create a sidebar categories listing menu and I have 2 issues. Here is the webpage: www.iartunique.com/index.php/gallery

1) When I select a subcategory form the main menu item Gallery, then the breadcrumb works as it should. But using the sidebar menu, I only get the path Home-->Gallery, not the subelements.
Please, find attached the configuration screen for the sidebar menu.
Notes:
a) When I select the div for the layout I don't get any contents as results to the right side. List type works well, but I want to keep it as div. Couldn't I?
b) When I select "All sub elements" then the module Categories doesn't have any contents.

2) For the Gallery listing (visit from main menu) I want to display only 5 items per page, but pagination is not enabled. How do I do that?

Thanks,
Dora

Hi,

1.a The links are generated the same way, regardless of the layout you use. That is unless there is some customization of the view files done by you or your template provider which would break one or the the other.
So I don't see why this would happen.

1.b Similarly, I don't see why using the "all sub elements" would not display anything. It should be the opposite. When you use the all sub elements choice, instead of getting the direct elements, you get on top of it, the child elements of these elements.
Try to click on the "rebuild" button of the categories listing of the backend. Maybe there is a problem with the integrity of the category tree preventing the system from loading it in some cases.

2. Make sure that the "pagination" setting of the HikaShop configuration is activated.
