Good evening Nicolas, Jerome, et al.

I am stuck at the moment!

I want to show (each week) 4 special products in a content module.
I have attached these products to a category named “weekaanbieding” (product of the week).
These products come from different categories.
This module must me shown on almost every page.

In the forum I have found your mail: #11989.
I have made a special category, “weekaanbiiedeng”, that is unpublished. ID 10453
There is a content module, ID 167. This module does what it does on “unassigned” pages.

No matter what I try in the settings. If I show the module on pages that link to a specific category… the “special product module” will NOT SHOW the special products but other products or NOT SHOW AT ALL.

Here you can see the module as it should be:
www.formidog.nl/merken-a-z

Here is a page that shows not special products:
www.formidog.nl/producten-voor-uw-kat

I really hope you can help me soon

Greetz,

Dick

Hi,

That's because you've turned on the "synchronize with currently displayed content" option of the module.
Because of that, the current category will override the "associated category" setting of your module when possible (when you're on a page with a current category).

Good morning again

of course I tried all that! I have read guidelines and forum thouroughly. This was not the reason!

Your post however made me think and I saw the error:
The module settings overruled the details.
It was the "recent article setting"

After unchecking All is well!

THANKS for the trigger!

See you soon!

Dick
