-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Business 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.1

Hello,
I am trying to make bootstrap option work with joomshaper helix 3 without luck.
I guess it has to do with compatibility of Helix template with Joomla's default bootstrap option.
Is there any workarround? Namely, the problem is that my products display in 3 columns in desktop version, while I need them to show in single (or double) column on mobile devices, according to the width of the screen.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Typically, Helix 3 templates are using Bootstrap 3, while both Joomla and HikaShop are natively supporting Bootstrap 2. So, if Bootstrap 2 classes are not supported by your template, you might want to try turning off "Use Bootrap design" in the HikaShop configuration, or need to apply a number modifications to get it to work as you might intend.

Just FYI, you may want to consider updating Joomla. At the time of this writing we are at version 3.4.3.

Hi,

Thanks lousyfool.

Just for the little information ; HikaShop 2.5.0 have a partial support of Bootstrap 3.
If you take a look at the HikaShop helper, you will see that if the setting "bootstrap_design" contains the value "bootstrap3", some bootstrap 3 classes will be used for the product/category listings.
All if not fully tested or functional but it's a first start.

Thank you both for your answers. I will check the available options, otherwise, I guess I 'll have to hack product listing view in order to check the device type and bypass the system setting by making it single column.
