See documentation: hikashop.com/support/documentation/integ...splay-front-end.html

In brief, you need to access the options for your category or product listings, best through the HikaShop backend -> dropdown Display -> Content menus (or modules).
In each of them you'll find the option "Number of columns".

Hi,

Go in the menu Display>Content menus and edit your categories listing menu item.
There, you'll have two "number of columns" setting, the first one for the categories listing, the second one for the products listing.

Hi Nicolas,

I've been trying over and over to find out where exactly you can configure the number of columns displayed when displaying a product listing from a selected category. However, the instructions provided do not make it absolutely clear. So, please try to answer my questions as exact as possible.

Joomla version: 3.4.8
Hikashop version: Essential: 2.6.1
JSN glass template: Pro 1.0.9

1. (Simple question) Is the number of columns used to display a setting which can be configured in the GUI or does it require editing a template.
2. If the setting can be changed in the GUI, how does one arrive at that point in the GUI? Please assume that I'm starting my navigation from the Hikashop dashboard.
3. Alternatively, if the change requires editing a template. Which template file should be edited exactly and more importantly, which line in the code needs to be modified.

Merci beaucoup d'avance pour votre assistance.

Erwin

Hi Nicolas,

While I was working on the site's menu's, I accidentally came across the settings to change the number of columns.

1. Joomla's main administration screen -> Menu's -> Manage menu's -> Main menu
2. Edit one of the menu items:
a. Categories
b. Products
3. Select the 'Category' or 'Product' option tab and enter the number of columns and rows there

Until next time.

Best regards,

Erwin

Ok. I'm having trouble with this part. I used to have bootstrap turned off, but turned it back on. My template supports bootstrap 3, but I'm sure I've customized something which has broke this to work right. I have followed the following:

Go in the menu Display>Content menus and edit your categories listing menu item.
There, you'll have two "number of columns" setting, the first one for the categories listing, the second one for the products listing.

Both options are set to 3 columns. If I inspect the products, the code shows that there should be 3 items in each row, however, the items are listed underneath of each other instead.

I was able to get this fixed. I changed the view to include the class of list-inline for the UL. Thanks.

Hi,

The "use boostrap design" setting only supports bootstrap 2. For bootstrap 3, you would have to do that:
