-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.45
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Google Chrome Version 48.0.2560.0 dev (64-bit)

For the last 4 hours, I've been trying to put a list of categories in the left module position. Just like on your demo shop. How hard can it be. The best I can do is have the categories in a popup when I hover over the menu item (see pic in attachment).

What the f$@# am I doing wrong?

I have a content module assigned tho the correct position (and it appears there) but all I see is the title of the content module. Not the categories. They appear when I hover over the module title.
You can see the settings of the content module in the second attachment.

I've search the web, the documentation,... Nobody seems to have my problem.

I'm frustrated as hell

Hi,

Here the screenshot of the module configuration in our demo website (for the module "Categories" with ID 93).

Hi,

It is just the select of a menu in order to have "nice" links.
That setting is not related to the display ; it is just for the links and because you need to select a Joomla menu, it is logical that you do not have the same menus than in the demo website.

OK.
I copied all the settings as in you screenshot but I still have a popup menu when I hover over the menu item (see attachment).
It just looks different.

Hi,

It looks different because the context is different (and the template too).
You're displaying the module into a special menu handle by your template.
After that, the demo template is customizing the "panels" differently than your template.
You can still use the setting "use simple ul/li" in order to not use the Joomla "panel" system but classical ul/li HTML structure. The rendering would be more classical I think.
