Have the latest Hikashop Business installed and adding a new Menu item to show Product Categories. It appears to be quite different to the last time I did this and I can't work it out. Is there any documentation for the new menu item functions?
Can't find it.

I have been trying to get it to work but I have no idea what its doing - particularly the Items - Column/Rows where you click on the squares. I want to show 3 rows of 3 categories as I have 9 categories but it is giving me only 2 columns with 5 x 4 items. Not making sense to me.

Also trying to make the thumbnails bigger but in the menu category item I put in 300px x 200px and the thumbnails stay small. Is there something over riding the menu settings in the main hikashop component.

Very confused.

Hi,

Everything is now under the "categories options" and "products options" tabs of the menu item settings page.
So it should be even simpler than before.
Just edit the menu item in the menu manager and check the settings in both these tabs.
The categories options tab is for the listing of categories and the products options tab is for the listing of products.

Slowly working it out - it would be good for the documentation to be updated.

The row x column still does not make sense. When I have 9 products I would think that choosing a 3 x 3 will work or a 2 x 5 but the categories or products never come out that way. It appears to be quite random. I suspect it may be due to the size of the images - you need to add image sizes for it to at least show something?

When I tried this, I am finding that having to use specific pixel measurements is difficult as you need to work out the correct sizing for the template page you are using.

The images should be responsive much like Zentools2 module does from Joomla Bamboo. Choose a grid layout and the images adjust accordingly.

Thanks.

Hi,

The size of the images doesn't matter. If you set 3*3, it will display 3*3. If that's not the case, then it's probably the CSS of your Joomla template interfering with that.
We would need a link to the page in that case, in order to check on the issue.
