-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5

Hi!

I'm running into a very frustrating issue and been on it for too long. Hopefully you will be able to help me sort it out:
1. I acquired a template specifically designed for Hikashop styling
2. Installed the version with all the demo content included and worked fine
3. Removed demo products, imported mine - fine too BUT
4. Now categories display but when clicking on one category you do not see any product
5. Creating new menus does the same, the only menu that works are showing a single product

So the template provider support is very very slow and they partially answer. I have therefore remove their customization thinking that could be the problem (by renaming the /template html/com_hikashop folder) and indeed the styling disappears. However the problem is still there.

I have also installed a fresh Joomla!+hikashop, did the product import and tried the display: that works!

So now what should I do to get the "nice" template display the products? Any idea?

Thank you.

I am facing the same problem .
I even import a CSV filled products, and click on the category and subcategory , the products were listed normally. But after upgraded to the Business version 2.6.1 , the products are gone .
No problem with template but some of Hikashop setting !
How should we proceed to the products re-appear ?
Thank you

Hello everybody,

You can process for both of you, this test : switch your actual template for a default template like Protostar.
If your products appear with Protostar, that means, your issue is linked to your template, and so the only solution is to contact your template creator.

If this test leads to no change :
Can you please give us a link to see this by our self and process some test AND category listing screenshot options ?
Or, if you prefer to don't publish a link, send it to us via our "Contact us" form and use this topic subject to fill in your message subject.

Awaiting news from you.

Regards,

ok, switched to protostar and got something in the middle: display categories fine and then when I click into any category I only see 1 product on which I cannot click. I looked at category listing options and saw I had a display set to 0x0. Changing that displayed products when I went into each category on Protostar but not my specific template.
However I tried the same with products listing and got nothing on both Protostar and my template (related products appears though). While the menus do not appear under protostar I used the native link ychhe.dao2.com/index.php?option=com_hika...yout=listing&lang=en .
htaccess: ychhe/easy14u

Find attached the products listing options.

So I did a bit more testing and found out that Products listing by category works, just not if you select all categories (the "categories" or "root") in the "Main category" from Data Display. And it works on both template...
Also when adding category listing in the menu I get this message which I have no idea what it means and how to deal with it:

Warning
You have an override on the view 'category / listing' so the settings under the tab 'Product Options' will potentially not be used. Please backup your modifications and delete the override.

So what could be the problem now?

Hello,

An override is a way to custom several pages, this kind of modification required good code acknowledge to don't "break" your shop.
Now, to desactivate an override, go to Views configuration page, in Components => HikaShop => Configuration, and in Display dropdown click on Views.
You will see a lot Views to find an override you will see under Remove customization an trash icon, click on it to delete an override.

Caution : By clicking on trash icon you will delete your override definitively !
So, save your website to keep ALL your file, and don't delete useful override OR open an editor (like NotePad) to keep
aside your code.
And only after Remove customization ONE by ONE and each time process some test to get the override that leads to your
issue.

Hope this will help!
