Hi!

I was wondering how you can have a specific module for the products listing (that actually I know) and then have this module disappear and add different ones when clicking on one of the listed products and arriving on the single product page?

Thank you for the help.

Hello,

For this go in your modules options, Extensions => Modules, and select your module.
Then, go to Menu Assignment tab, you will see a dropdown, select "Only on the pages selected" and selected the page where you want have your module
.
Second step, for have another module type you have to create another module and don't authorized it on other pages.
Take care of give the same Position in Module tab, and so this will give the illusion that the same module "change".

Hope this will fit your needs.

Regards,

Hi and thanks.

I kind of had forgotten about that and it is hitting me now. So I have selected a module to appear on a specific product category, and it is selected as "Only on the pages selected", unfortunately when drilling down to products of that category, the module remains. How can I get rid of it?

Thank you.

Hi,

There is no system in Joomla to choose among different types of pages of the same menu item for the display of modules.
If your module is a HikaShop module, we've actually added extra options to the modules with HikaShop 2.6.2 so that you can select between the listing, the product page, the checkout, etc when you edit it via the Joomla modules manager.
But for third party modules, the only option is to use the extension Advanced Modules Manager which adds extra options to the modules manager to handle such fine grained display restrictions for any kind of module.
