-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.StutteringTherapyResources.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1

Hello - I recently upgraded to 2.6.x after using 2.5.x for a long time due to a USPS plug-in issue. (I am still using the 2.5.x USPS plug-in with Hikashop 2.6.x and the postage works fine.) When I upgraded to 2.6.x, however, I get an odd difference on my product display page that I can't track down.

Previously, under "store" on " www.StutteringTherapyResources.com " I would get a proper display of my 5 categories. One of those categories (NEW! OASES Translations) has 2 subcategories under it (OASES-German and OASES-Spanish). Under 2.5.x, those items did not show on the main store page (as they are subcategories). They did show correctly when one selected "NEW! OASES Translations," which is the category that they are placed under.

Now, with 2.6.x, however, those two subcategories show on the main page. I have looked everywhere for a setting that might have the child entries not show on the main category page, but I can't find the setting that controls this. (I found one that looks like it should control it, but even though I have it set to 'no child,' the links still appear.

Can you please direct me to where I can make this change?

Thank you,
Scott

Hi,

In the "categories options" tab of your menu item settings that you can find when you edit it via the Joomla menu manager, you'll find the "sub element filter" setting. It needs to be set to "direct sub elements". If you set it to "all sub elements", you'll also see the sub categories listed in the listing of categories of your menu item.

Aaah - GOT IT. I was changing that, but I was doing it on the wrong page (not the one associated with my store). Thanks much for your help! I can check another little thing off my list ;-)
