-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.tiendamat.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1

I'm trying to set up different Browser page titles in every product or menu but I'm not succeding. Every page on my site has the name of the site as browser page title. That makes me think that I have something wrong configurated but I've gone through every joomla, template and hikashop option trying to find it out and hasn't succeed.

I've seen that both in menu and in product I have options to change the title, but even if I set it up as I want, it doesn't change.

Any idea on what's going on?

Thank you very much.

Hello,

In order to have different page title, you have with HikaShop options to fill.
For products :
- Go in your product back end configuration, and find SEO part, and fill Page Ttile.

For Menu/Categories listing :
- To edit your categorie listing click on little pen icon

- And fill your page Title

Hope this will help you.

Regards.

Hi Philip,

thank you very much for the detailed explanation.

Unfortunately, this is not the problem, since this is how I have it done. The problem is that something overrides that, and I can't figure out what, since even the Joomla Title is not what it shows.

For example, on this product page:

www.tiendamat.com/sistemas-de-cobre/prod...able-utp-cat-6a-lszh

The Joomla Site Title is: "Tiendamat.com - Tu tienda de cable y material para Telecomunicaciones"
The product page title is: "Cable Cat.6A UTP"

But I don't know how, as everywhere in the site, it shows "Tiendamat"

The only place that shows a different title is the backend, where it shows the joomla site title.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thank you very much.

Hi Philip,

I finally figured it out. Here's the problem & solution in case someone finds himself in the same place:

I had Easy Frontend SEO installed because it's magnific to do sitemaps.

The problem comes when you activate "compatibility mode" (mode YES) in the ADVANCED // URL HANDLING it overwrites every Hikashop SEO label. All you have to do is turn off (mode NO) on there and now is hikashop who has the handling of the SEO.

Thank you!

Hello again,

I'm sorry I'm back, but there's a tinny thing I haven't been able to solve.

In the homepage ( www.tiendamat.com ), I have activated the random products module so it shows random products. The problem is that the page title it says "product category".

I've tried to changed it, but I haven't found where. I've selected in the menu to show page heading, but it doesn't react, and I really don't know where that "product category" title comes from. Is there any way to change that?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

That's the name of your main category. Go in your categories listing, click on the "root" category on the left, then edit your "product category" category and change the page title there.

Hi
I edited the value of the page title field according to what was said, but the problem is that the sitename , which is specified in the global configuration of Joomla, is displayed at the end of the browser page title.
What should I do so that the name of the website is not added at the end of the page title?
How to display the browser page title (in menu setting) instead of the Hikashop category Page title?

Hello,

1. Sitename in Page Title :
This is most Joomla point than a HikaShop point see my screenshot :

2. browser page title instead of the Hikashop category Page title :

Hope this will help you to achieve your needs.
Regards
