Assigning Joomla Modules to Product Category Pages

Hi -

Sorry if this has been answered before. I am wondering how it is possible to assign Joomla modules to HikaShop product category pages, without that content then also being displayed on sub-categories and products within that category.

What menu item can I assign a module to so it only appears on a "HikaShop » category" page (menu item) without then appearing on all the items in that category?

It would also be good to know how I can do the same with individual products and sub-categories that don't have a menu item, or advice on that.

Hi,

If it's a HikaShop module, edit the module settings, and turn off the "Product page" setting there.
If you want to display modules based on the product or category, or if the modules that you want to display on listings and not on the product pages are not HikaShop modules, you'll have to use Advanced Modules Manager Pro:
extensions.joomla.org/extension/advanced-module-manager
It plugs itself on top of the Joomla modules system and has extra restriction settings for modules, including display restrictions for HikaShop pages, products and categories.
