Attached is a screenshot.
How do I configure an option that shows coloricons like a variant.
The system is built to understand that you can have one variant say color and use the coloricon documentation to accomplish this.

Or I can choose sizes and produce a grid that allows my customers to order any number of shirts of various sizes using the list option.

What I want to do is have a drop down so if the customer lands on an orange shirt, but really want a different color, they may choose that color instead.

Eventually having a 2d list with quantity fields where the customer can order both color and size in on simple grid is what we really want. We think you are in development of this and expect a release on about 90 days.

Most of our orders are one color shirt... so I am willing to work on either solution a 2d grid with qty fields or a drop down color changer.

When I put the 2 variants together I get a very long table... that is not sorted neatly by color or size.

Does this make sense?

Hi,

"options" can only be displayed as dropdowns. There are no display options you can choose for them for now.
Having radios like you can do with characteristics would require modifying the code of the file "option" via the menu Display>Views, but the modifications won't be possible if you're not a developer.

"options" are only useful if you want the price to change based on the selected option. In your case, the price doesn't change. So it doesn't look like you should use an option anyway for what you want.
You could use a characteristic displayed in radio, or a custom radio field.
Both allow you to have image tags as values for the selection.
