Can't select categories when adding products

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.4
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.20
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome and all other browsers tested

We can no longer select categories for our products:

This seems to be a problem with the Hikashop file explorer. The same problem happens in the left sidebar of the Categories page:

I've also tried to click the Rebuild button and that didn't fix it.



and the sub-categories still show the parent when being edited

I see I'm getting the following javascript error:
