Short Description in products listing is needed

Virtuemart has more than 10 years,
so please add a single text column into the table hikashop_product (e.g. product_s_desc, VARCHAR, long:500) for showing SHORT DESCRIPTION at the products listing.
Please don't suggest the 'read more' ability, that is an other way what can not be flexible enough.
We miss it very-very much. Please see screenshot, that's what we need.
