-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5

Hello, I am finishing up a migration from 2.5 to 3.x and i noticed that all of my product pages have a module, that I have never seen before, displaying at the base of the product descriptions. The odd thing is that this module is not being displayed in a template module position, and there is no record of the module in the module manager. the module is called "the Sidebar.." and can be seen at the link provided.

I went to Config> Display > Product Options > Modules Under the Product Page and sure enough there is a reference to this module (see image 1). Whenever i click the link to the module however i always get an error (see image 2). I googled around i tried to solve this error but to no avail. I dont know where this module is coming from or how to remove it. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Best,

Matt

Hi,

That's indeed that option.
Instead of clicking on the link, you should instead click on the "select" button.
That will open a popup where you can disable the module and save.
Once done, save the configuration and that's it.

Thank you nicolas, I forgot to mention, when i hit "select" this module is not listed in the popup list. All of the modules are set to not show in that list.

Hi,

I don't see how that's possible.
But well, the solution is easy. Delete that module in the Joomla modules manager and you won't get it anymore.

Thank you for the reply Nicolas, as I mentioned in the first post I can also find no trace of this module in the module manager! Very odd

Hi,

Then, let's do it differently.
Go in your PHPMyAdmin, and in the table hikashop_config, search for the entry with the namekey product_show_modules and change its value to nothing.
That will remove the module from that setting.
