Hi,

If by "LHS" you mean left hand side, then you want to create a new instance of the HikaShop content module via the Joomla modules manager and configure it to display your brands on the left of your template in the sidebar. Then, when you click on a brand of the module, it will display the products of that brand.

Dear Nicolas, can this process be used to more importantly display the categories within the brands. So for us with Sesderma, the C-VIT category and so on.?

Hello,

A brand in HikaShop is using the same structure than the categories ; but the brand are not mean to be organized in tree like that.
So some feature for the brands won't be available with a tree structure ; you cannot have a "brand listing" like you have a "category listing" (in the way that when you select a category, you see the sub categories and the products into).

Afterwards, I'm afraid that I don't understand your requirements in your last message.
Can you please clarify it ?

To understand our needs more precisely, please find the attached image. The HIKAShop is unable to display the products within a Brand category. Having discussed the issue with HIKAShop they do say that there is a reasonably simple solution and have provided us a list of developers including yourself.

We want to link from the Accordion menu on the LHS side of the website (SHOPPING expandable menu) to the sub catagoeries displaying the products within each category. For example, any product within the C-VIT category would be listed from within the shop, from an Anti-Wrinkle link on the menu all anti-wrinkle products would be listed… and so on.

We would need to be able to add menu items ourselves once a solution is created. I would assume that there are a number of ways of doing this. We have used the search facility from the top menu ourselves to create some lists, but this is a little clumsy. I am in the process of developing 4 or 5 shops where this would need to be available.

Hello,

Yes it is not possible to handle the brands like the categories, you do not have the same module features and brands are not meant to be managed in a full tree but in just a simple list.
For sure, a custom development would be require if you want to do so ; and if you're dealing with a custom development, you can create your requirements and specifications.
A brand and a category are stored in the same database table ; they have a different "category_type" but can handle the same data. Nevertheless, they are read and processed differently in HikaShop ; which might not be the case if you're using a custom module, some custom code.

So what is your question exactly ?
