Hi.
Is it possible to use the standard joomla search module to get results in the same way as when using the filter module (grid or list) instead of just linked titles?

Hello,

For quick answer your question, no you can't... without custom code.

But I'm not really sure to understand what you ask for or have in mind... Because when you use HikaShop module filter with some configuration, you will have what you needs, I'm a little lost...

Awaiting more elements to understand your needs.

Regards

Hi,
Returning to the topic, someone has memorized a piece of product name and would like to find it through the search engine. It would be cool to see the listings as a list of products, not just as links and description segments.

The second thing, when I try to search for products by entering a product code is not getting any search results.

Hi,

1. Since the listing of results of the search module is handled by Joomla (via com_search) it would require the customization of the search results display view of com_search to be able to display it differently.

Why not directly use a text filter in a HikaShop filter module instead ? You would then get your results as a standard HikaShop products listing.

2. In the settings of the HikaShop Products search plugin, there is a setting to select the columns on which the search is done. Make sure that product_code is selected there.

Hi,
Thanks for the tips.

1. Text filter works great, but after searching, the price format changes and the price before the discount is not displayed, Instead, I have a price with a percentage discount. Where to change this for the filter?

2. Yes, now search properly.

Hi,

In the settings of the HikaShop filter module, there is a setting to set the menu item used when using the filters in the module.
Make sure that you enter here the id of the menu item that you want to use for the display of the results.
The system will then use the display settings of that menu item when displaying the results.
And so, if you edit that menu item in the Joomla menu manager, you can change the way the prices display under the "products options" tab.
