Joomla Update possible breaks display of products

-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.3

I updated the site to php 7 a month or so ago and apart from some extensions which I updated all went well.

I think that the recent update to Joomla 3.7.3 which I did a day ago without noticing it then is it broke the front Hikashop front menu.
It would not display the products in any category whatever link chosen. But having chosen a link, it also before the display it listed all the parent category's. Then it would display all the products in the entire product listing after that.
You also could not click on anyone product to go to that product.

Sorry if the above is not clear.

Why I mention the php version the fix was to go back to php v5.6

So I could be wrong but the recent Joomla update may break some sites.
