Sorting dropdown options tranlation

hi,
how can i translate the options of sorting drop down ?

options like: Price ascending

i've tried addign this code to my translation file in hikashop configuration but it's not working!
Price ascending="Some text"

SORT_ASCENDING="%s ascending"
SORT_DESCENDING="%s descending"
