Thanks!!

Thank you for that link it helped but I'm still not clear on one thing.

I would like to add the product price in US and have it convert to Canadian but it's doing the reverse.

I want to enter, for example, $100 USD and it should show as $120 CDN.

My main currency is CDN, would this mean I would have to change my main currency to USD.

Thanks!!

Hello,

If you want to "force" the displaying of your product prices to be directly displayed in USD, then changing your main currency to USD will do the job.

No, I don't want to force the product prices to display in USD.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean but what I'm trying to do is this.

We buy things in US dollars so when we calculate the selling price of the product it's in US dollars.

What we wanted to do is enter the selling price in the backend in US dollars but have it automatically convert and show on the front end in Canadian dollars.

For example, if I'm selling something for $20US it would show on the front end as $25CDN.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your previous response.

Thanks!

Hi,

It's easy to do really, just try it.
Enter the price of the product in USD in yout product edition interface, and make sure that the main currency of your HikaShop settings is CAD.
The system will automatically use the USD prices and convert them on the fly to display the prices in CAD on the frontend based on the rates you configured in the menu System>Currencies.

Yes! You are correct - it's easy and I am so pleased about this :)

My only other question is that I would like to round up or down the conversion price. For example, I entered $39.99 USD and it's displaying as $50.30 CDN, can I have it show as $49.99 CDN instead?

So basically, I would like the price to round up or down to the closest .99.

Thanks!

Hi,

HikaShop has settings to be able to round the prices in the settings of the currency. However, it can only round. 49.99 is not rounding.
If you want the system to use 50 instead of 50.30 then you can use the rounding setting of the currency.
Otherwise, for 49.99, I don't see a way besides complex modifications in the core files of HikaShop.

So the rounding is working correctly but on the checkout page the total is not correct.

How can I ensure that the TOTAL reflects the correct amount of the subtotal, shipping, discount, taxes, etc...

Please see attached.

Thanks!

Hi,

I suppose that you've rounded your prices by increments of 0.05. Is that the case ? In that case, the issue is probably that you want to activate the "round prices during calculations" setting of the HikaShop configuration.
