Hi!

I think there is a bug when Discounted only option is used in a product listing.

I've created a product listing menu with Discounted only items (please check the screenshot). I've created a discount 5% (please check the screenshot) and set Start date to 2017-11-20 and End date to 2017-11-22. Today is 2017-11-27. After that there are products in that listing but they should not be there.

I've tried another pattern. I've set Start date to 2017-11-20 and End date to 2017-11-30 and Published to No. After that there are products in that listing again.

In the first and second cases the products have no a discount (and it should be so) but they themselves appear in the list of product with a discount (and it should not be so).

P.S. If I set Start date to 2017-11-20 and End date to 2017-11-30 and Published to Yes I see the products in that listing and they have got the discount.

Hi,

With the current version, if you don't set any product/category restriction in your discounts, then, when no discounts are found, the system will ignore the "discount only" setting so that the MySQL query loading the products is not too long to run, which could potentially lead to the page crashing.
So that's why you have that behavior.

So this possibility is useless in Starter version which has no product/category restriction. In this case if the Discounted only items selected or not selected the product list is always the same. May be it's right to mark this possibility like available only in Essential/Business version?

Hi,

Well, it's indeed useless at the moment with the Starter edition.
We'll look at improving the system so that it works properly with the Starter edition in the future.

Hi! Thank you!

I want to fully clarify for myself how this option works in the commercial versions. Suppose I have two goods - A and B, I create a discount and apply the restriction in such way that the discount is applied only to the product A. Also I create the menu item Products with discounts for the list of products with the option Discounted only. We admit the validity period of the discount is from 2017/11/27 to 2017/11/30. If 2017/11/28 I open the Products with discounts list I will get only one product in the list - product A. If I open the Products with discounts list 2017/12/01 (or if the discount is unpublished) there will be no products in this list - I understand everything correctly?
