Presales Question - Update to Hikashop Business

Hi all,

hope this is the right forum for the presales question.

We bought "Hikashop Essential" but found that there are some features missing that we need.
So I want to clarify first if "Hikashop Business" will cover the following requirements:

1) We need to attach 2 pdf files (terms and conditions, right of withdrawal) to every order confirmation.
2) We need a custom field with a checkbox that the customer needs to check before he can finish the order
3) We sell products from 2 different categories: digital goods and workshops. Is it possible to restrict the payment methods to the different categories? Means that the customer can pay digital goods via PayPal only, and workshops via PayPal and bank transfer?
4) Is is possible to add custom text to the checkout process?

Hello Torsten,

1. Using the Attach invoice plugin will do the job :

2. You'll just have to add a "term and condition" step on your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

3. There's no option to restrict products for a defined payment method, but a solution can be to restrict your products to a shipping method and then restrict your payment method to that shipping using the "Shipping method" option of your payment configuration page.

4. It will depend on where you exactly want to add it, but using some code customization through files of the "Checkout" view of your front-end template via "Hikashop->Display->Views" will do the job.

Hi Mohamed Thelji.,

thanks for the update, I have the following questions:

1) is this "attach invoice plugin" for invoices only or can we attach other PDF´s, too?
2) I already added the "terms and conditions" step to the checkout but we need a second checkbox and some custom text in this step of the checkout.
3) I will check the forum if I can find anything about this.
4) We will need the custom text especially in the "terms and conditions" part, I thought with the "Business Edition" it´s possible to place custom fields in the checkout process?

Hello Torsten,

1. My bad, the best solution will be to directly use the "Attached Files" option that you can find via "Hikashop->System->Emails->' Order status notification' ".
However, these files will be sent after every status update.

2. If you need a second "required" checkbox, the solution will be to directly create and use an "Order" checkbox custom field that you'll be able to create via "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields"

4. Sure but using custom fields will only affect the "Fields" step of your checkout workflow, if you want to change the displaying of the term and condition step, you'll have to directly edit the code of the "show_block_terms" file of the "Checkout" view of your front-end template via "Hikashop->Display->Views".

many thanks for the updates. Regarding your answers, does that mean I have to update to the Business Edition first?
That´s not an issue for us, just want to clarify.

Hi,

That's right, the edition of emails is only available in the Business edition and thus you'll have to upgrade your Essential edition.

many thanks, I´ve upgraded to Business now and all is working (except of a small issue with displaying the VAT, I´ve openend another thread in the forum for this case).
