Hi to all,
I have been trying to several months to resolve this issue but withiìout result, I've been reading all posts in this forum with similar problems but I haven't found the solution. Probably i didn't understend somethings about the configurtion options.

My situation is simple, i have 3 level of category whit relative menus like this
_Food - - - Level 1
__Rice - - - Level 2
__Soy Souce - - - Level 2
__Sauces - - - Level 2
____Vinegar - - - Level 3
____Oil - - - Level 3
____Stock - - - Level 3
Every menu types is product listing, and if i click on the Sauces item i want to see all subcategory products (vinegars, oils and stocks products). To make this i set sub elemnt filter to "All sub elemnts" in Data display Options, but nothing change.
Now my 3th level product are associated only to the same level category and not to it's parent category.
I can see the subcategory prducts only if i manully add parent category to 3th level products, but this is not really a solution.
Why if I set the filter to "All sub elemnts" I don't see nothing ?
How the displaying of the sub category products exactly works ?
Where am I wrong?

Many thanks

Luca

Hi,

Usually such issue indeed happens because the "sub element filter" setting of the menu item is not set to "all sub elements".
So if that's already the case, then I don't know.
Try using the "rebuild" button of the categories listing in the backend. It's possible that the category tree data is messed up in the database and because of that, it can't retrieve properly the sub categories of the selected category in the menu item.
Otherwise, we would need a screenshot of the settings of the menu item and a link to the page where it displays to get started.

Hi Nicolas,
sorry for the late response, your solution about use the "rebuild" button of the categories listing in the backend is the right one, after this all menus works.

I add [SOLVED] in the subject.

Many thanks

Luca
