Does Hikashop is suitable for medium e-commerce?

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.6

I mean it will be able to manage thousands items or, honestly, is better prestashop or other platform....?
I am afraid to have critical problem to manage and display ten-fifteen thousands items and to have wrong component (hikashop business).
What can you say about....

Hi,

I didn't see yet a problem with that amount of products.
We've been contacted in the past for performance issues with hundred of thousands of products or even millions of products.
For example, that website:

(it's the first one that comes to mind)
it uses HikaShop and has more than 300 000 products listed (without counting the variants which are also product entries but of another type).
