Hello,

I am looking for a way to get the products ordered by model instead of id. on the invoice. It is better for the client to see the products grouped instead of spreaded out on the invoice. (normally i add same kind of products to the catalogue later on)

Best regards

Hi,

Well, the only way is to edit the invoice view file (you can use the "Display view files" setting of the HikaShop configuration to know which view file to edit via the menu Display>Views). There, at the beginning of the view, you'll want to add some PHP code to reorder the products array the way you want the products to be ordered. So that will require a developer to do that. It's not difficult but it's still some work.

Hello Nicolas,

Thank you for your reply but please, can you consider adding this option at the invoice when creating it? Order by model, id or from A->Z or price etc.
(it sometimes looks very strange on the invoice)
Best regards,

Nico

Hi,

The order should normally be the same as what you have in the cart actually. So it's simply displayed in the order the customer added them, which is quite logical for them I suppose.
I suppose that if we wanted to add an option, it would actually be an option to control the order of the products in the cart (which would then snowballs to the order, the invoice and the notification emails).
Also, you're talking about ordering the products by "model" but there is no "model" in HikaShop. Are you talking about "brands" ?

Hi Nicolas,

You´re right it must be ordered by product_code (SKU). Sometimes a client orders one colour and after buying some sponges and stickers he decides to buy another colour he also needed. This action means I:( have to walk from one side back to the other side again. :(

Hello,

You have some points, and as usual we will consider your idea and add it to our todolist.
But keep in mind that each of our customers have specific needs and at the same time we have to keep HikaShop easy and clear to set up.

The most quick solution is the solution give you with this message
In this kind of need, realize an override view with a specific code to display as wished your elements.
Thanks for your feedback
Regards
