Product listing module has gaps

my module " product listing" shows all products in the selected categorie, but in the rows & colums of products it shows 2 'blanc fields" and just moves the products.

In Safari it looks OK- no blanc fields-, but in Chrome and Explorer/ Edge the products are shifted and the sequence order is messed up.
I tried all kind of following orders; sometimes just 1 product field is blanc but in most options leave 2 products blanc. (order on price, name, etc)
There are no 'unpublished' products,
I cannot do any setting in the menu.
Under product I don't see any option to change the following order
in the active module "product listing" for this category I tried all options without succes, and put it back to "standard" now.

I just want to have the rows filled with 3 products on each row, without any blancs.
what should I change?

then see the website
