-- HikaShop version -- : 4.2.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.12
-- PHP version -- : 7.3.9
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : ff 69.0.3

The URL is different if i search for same product, or just scroll down to the product.

The URL in the search for an product is.
www.myhomepage.dk/da/hikashop-menu-for-c...ghlight-WyJnb2xmIl0=
- Witch is the wrong URL

It shoud be, if i go to the shop and scroll down to the product, and chose it, ther url is
www.myhomepage.dk/da/shop-da/pins/223-golf
- Witch is the right URL

That is strange ?
Have you any clues hows that ?

regards.

After the search for the product, the URL for the product is different from the ordinary product.
Thats the big question..

Hi,

There is nothing strange here. The URL is calculated dynamically based on the current menu item (that's how Joomla's SEF system works).
Since you're on a different menu item on the search results page, the system has to generate a different URL.

However, note that HikaShop has a "canonical URL" setting in each product.
In that setting, you can enter the main URL /da/shop-da/pins/223-golf
Then, if you activate the "Force canonical URL on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration, HikaShop will use that canonical URL on the different pages instead of generating a URL via Joomla's SET system.
That way, you'll get the same URL everywhere.

Hmm i regend that I coud do that, but the url for the 'wrong' shop is still there, and then i have doublicated content, and thats not a good idea.

I can browse my own made shop (Y)
And.
I can browse the wrong shop (bad)

If i get it to work, within the canocal URL, that woud only work from search (i regend)

There have to be another way to stop the 'wrong' shop-url ..

Regards..

Hi,

No, you won't have duplicated URLs. The primary goal of the "canonical URL" setting of products / categories is to tell search engines which is the URL to index for similar pages. So when it tries to access the product page from different URLs, it will see the canonical URL meta tags in the header of the page and won't consider it as duplicate content. So it won't impact your SEO.
Having the same URL used everywhere with the "force canonical URLs on listings" setting is just a bonus so that normal users of your website also see the same URL as indexed by search engines.
