-- HikaShop version -- : 4.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.19

Hi, as HS does not have a BACK button feature, I made one using the simple code:

<a onclick="history.back();return false;" href="#">BACK</a>

It works great except after a search, and selecting one of the results, there is no Back functionality, not even the browser back button.

If I take the exact url and paste it in to the address bar, the Back function works ok.

Result from a search:

Cut/Paste that exact url and the Back function works:

How do I enable a Back, or Back To Search Results on these pages?

Many thanks
Paul

Hi,

Try turning on the "redirect POST mode" setting of the HikaShop configuration and it should help.

I did that but unfortunately there is still no BACK functionality after clicking a Search result.

If there is no way to Return To Search, I will need to remove the Back button I have added.

But the Search Results use the same Menu 'hikashop-menu" and hence the same template.
Is it possible to remove that button from only the Search results ?

Thanks for your help.
Paul

Hi,

I checked on your website and it seems that you're talking about the Joomla search module at the top and not about the Hikashop filter system.
And from what I can see, it's normal that there is no back when you click on a result of that search module as it opens the result on a new tab.
This is actually controlled by the setting "New page" of the HikaShop products search plugin. So you want to edit that plugin via the Joomla plugins manager and turn off that option. In that case, the result page will open on the same tab and you will have the possibility to use the back button.

Oh wow, I can't believe I didn't notice that it was creating a new tab :-(

That change has fixed it, thank you so much.
