Custom Field - table item - date picker - not defaulting

Hello,

I have created a custom field for the Item table, so the customer can select a date on the product page.

Settings are:

• Required = Yes
• Allow only Future Dates
• Default Today = Yes

Unfortunately, the date does not default to today's date. I've deleted the "default date" value and saved the custom field, but that only resets the default date to the date that change was made. From that point, the custom field always shows the same fixed date.

When a customer orders a product, I'd expect the custom field to default to the current date. Is this a configuration issue?
