Wishlist heart icon

Well, under the Features tab of the HikaShop configuration, you have settings to activate the wishlist system of HikaShop.
And you can configure it to display an "add to wishlist" button, similar to the "add to cart" button you have.
It won't display as a heart though. If you want to have it as a heart, you'll have to do a translation override to change the text of the button to a heart using font awesome.

Otherwise, I recommend using this plugin :

It will display a heart on the products listing. It can also display a listing of all the liked products.
It's different from a wishlist however as there is no "sharing" capability with it.

So what to use really depends on what you want to do.

Yes. You need to make sure that the add to wishlist display option, under the "products options" tab of your menu item, is activated via the Joomla menu manager.

On products listings, the add to cart and add to wishlist buttons will only appear if the product doesn't have characteristics or required custom item fields. If the porduct has characteristics or required custom item fields, the system will display instead a "choose options" button.
So that's why it doesn't work on your screenshot.
If you want a heart button on all the products of listings, regardless on whether they have characteristics / custom item fields or not, I would recommend using this plugin: www.hikashop.com/marketplace/product/155-product-like-btn.html
