-- HikaShop version -- : 4.6.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.10.11
-- PHP version -- : 7.4.30
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Google Chrome 105.0.5195.127
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Notice: : Undefined property: stdClass::$product_description in /home/xxx/public_html/templates/innovate/html/com_hikashop/product/listing_price.php

We are upgrading the site to latest Joomla and Hikashop version, on a new server (current URL is www.drunkcheese.co.uk )

This error appears on the product category listings page, and if you add a product to the cart, then the same error appears in the shopping cart pop-up screen. Also seems the layout of the product page is different as the text is no longer appearing on the right-hand side underneath the header.

Please could you help with this?

Hello,

It seems that you use an override view (learn more about this, here ), especially given this part of the error message: "/templates/innovate/html/com_hikashop/prod..."

A test that you can process to be sure is to go to the product folder (in /home/xxx/public_html/templates/innovate/html/com_hikashop/product/), and rename the "listing_price" name for something like "listing_price1" by example.

=> If the test show that the root issue is the listing_price override, this means that you have to update the override in order to be able to work with HikaShop 4.6.2.
Now, the error is just a notice, this kind of error can be often ignored, in fact you probably see this error because your Joomla Debug is active, which is not necessary if your site works well (and in production phase).

About your other display issues can you details its, through description, illustrated screenshot & Url link.
Awaiting your returns to progress on your subject.

Regards

Thanks, i have tried renaming the override and the errors disappear, however then the item description on the product page disappears. I also checked debugging and this was already turned off in the Joomla configuration settings so the error still appears with that off and the override in place. Can you help with what needs updating in the override to work with the Hikashop update?

I also attached a screenshot to explain what i mean about the layout being different.

Hello,

We can guide you to create a new override yes, but note that these will only be explanations of principles, and advice.
And in order to help us do this we need to better understand the following:
- What do you mean by "item description" can you details this through explanations, screenshot etc...
- Details what was the purpose of your current override (add elements dynamically, display purpose, etc...)

Awaiting your elements to be able to guide you.
Regards

Item description is the description of a product entered into Hikashop into the jmla_hikashop_product table in the field product_description field as shown in the screenshots attached

The purpose of the override is to display this description on the product listing page (shown in the image attached on my previous message) for each product (and also when the variant is selected). Without the override, this information does not appear on the product page at all.

Also since the upgrade to Hikashop the elements on the product listing page are arranged differently (also shown in screenshot from previous message).

Hello,

Just in case, I suggest you that may be the layout "Image and description" can fit your needs.

You will find the layout option in your Item Menu (product listing), in Product option tab and Item Layout part

Now, if for a reason or another that doesn't fit your expectation, then you can use this same layout as example, the view name is "listing_img_desc".
In this view you will find the block (php code) that display the product description.
