Problem with product prices when I have variants

Hi,

I’m having an issue with the prices of my products when there are variants. It shows as “common price” the price of the variant and as “our price … each” the price I set for the product itself (in the main product page in the backend).

If I choose specific variants and add the product to the cart, the price of the product appearing in the cart is the “our price … each” price, so the price of the product but not the price of the specific variants I chose. I’ve tried to set the price of the product in the main product page as 0, but then the price of the product appearing in the cart is free.

I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong and how to sort out this issue?

Hi Philippe,

Thanks for your answer. I am sending you images of what appears on the page of the product as well as screenshots of the product's and variants' settings.

The price of the item that appears on the website with these characteristics should be 95 Euros, this should also be the price appearing in the cart when I click add to the cart. At the moment the price that appears in the cart is 38 Euros.

Hi,

On the screenshot www.hikashop.com/media/kunena/attachment...tcode_variants_3.jpg I can see that you entered the price in the "retail price" setting ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_price ) instead of entering it via the "new price" button below. This means that for this variant, the system doesn't find any price and thus it uses the main product's price instead, along with the retail price of the variant.
That's your issue. You want to properly set the price in your variants, like you do in your main products, without using the "retail price" field, and it will work like you want.
